Hence, to establish all the above goals different focus groups consisting of 34 members with arthritis between age 57 to 94 years. This investigation, research included adults dwelling in subsidized housing and residential communities. The transcripts of focus groups were examined by anal ysis of its content based on specific themes for selection, optimization, and compensation and found few differences in the use of strategy among resource-poor and resource-rich members. Adult participants highlighted the importance of the leisure activities in health maintenance. Based on different opinions shared by the focus groups, use of leisure in self-management with arthritis helped them to cope up with their pain and symptoms of arthritis as well as gaining benefits for proper mental health. The family was found to play an essential role in maintaining the quality of their life. The resource-rich individuals were more aware of using leisure activities for improving their health than the resource-poor individuals. This article enhanced the professional understanding of nursing practices of nursing trainee and introduced the ways to assist patients to maintain these leisure activities while they face any functional limitations (Janke, Jones, Payne, Son, 2012). Research methods and design Initially, the focus groups were chosen as the ways of facts collected for several purposes. Then opinions and ideas were developed through the communications among the participants. Focus groups were allowed to consider the themes in depth and increase the understanding of certain phenomena. This interaction aims to enrich the data quality by clearing out false views (Patton, 2002). It included most important theory-driven subjects in relation to arthritis and leisure employing the model of selective optimization with compensation. Twenty-three resources -rich adults (included middle and upper-income group) and eleven resource-poor adults (i.e., residing in lower income) were taken for study, including three focus groups of the former and two focus groups of the latter. After the completion of the survey on leisure and health, adults (with the diagnosis of arthritis) consent was taken to participate in theme discussion session and the adults chosen were made sure that they should not have any cognitive impairments. The session of focus group lasted for an hour, which was based on Krueger and Caseys (2009) guide for these focus groups. They first started the disc ussion on symptoms of arthritis followed by the meaning of arthritis to them in a leisure perspective and these all discussions were audiotaped with the members consent. The opinions shared by members were summarized on four important themes in relation to the individual arthritis and activities during leisure included (a) the influence of arthritis in adults participation in leisure activities; (b) the factor which influenced members decisions regarding continuing their leisure activities, or cease; (c) what are the efforts made to continue their participation in leisure activities; and (d) how the use of resources help adults to maintain participation despite arthritis signs. These themes guided the groups to establish interaction and also to expand the topics which were not included (Krueger Casey, 2009). After the completion of focus groups, discussion, the session representative provided a brief of the findings and the groups were asked to combine any uncovered theme which the y believed are important to conclude the accuracy of the findings. There are 4 to 8 members in focus groups and the session conducted by them are analyzed. Then the coding procedures are performed which included 3 research team members who broad the theoretical themes of elective-based choice, loss-based choice, compensation and optimization into text followed by code creation. This further helped in data analysis again and differences and similarities between the resource poor and resource rich group members. The coding was repeated again secondary to the data complexity and the coders discussed those statements which fit more than the other thematic code to determine the strategy used by adults for self-management in arthritis. The methods used are appropriate to reach two goals mentioned by the author. This support was from the family members and friends. The adults residing in housing facilities without any organized physical activity programs noted locating partners to do exercise and safety concerns. The participated of Tai Chi and organized exercise program stated social support as an important factor for motivation and energy than safety. The Stanford Prison Experiment was a study of the psychological effects of becoming a prisoner. This was a touching experiment because it showed how an environment manipulates good-natured people and gets them to commit unforgiving acts. Zimbardo wanted to show what happened when individuality and dignity was stripped away from humans. He wanted to know how individuals would feel if their lives were completely controlled. Zimbardo wanted to investigate the impact of situational variables on human behavior. Zimbardo's aim was to bring forth the reactions of both, the participants and the guards. The experiment included two main variables: assigned roles and changes in behavior. Assigned roles were known to be independent variables. Prisoners were picked up from their homes. Upon reaching the mock prison, the jailbirds were thoroughly searched and fingerprinted. After the jailbirds were dressed in smocks with no underclothes, they were placed in holding cells. In addition, they were given identification numbers and were forbidden to use names. In contrast, the guards were given no special training. Guards had the free right to do whatever necessary to maintain law and order and command respect. The so-called protectors were dressed in identical uniforms, carried whistles and batons, and they wore mirrored sunglasses to make themselves appear less human. The dependent variables were the changes in behavior. Prisoners rebelled by removing their stocking caps, scratching off their numbers, and barricading themselves in cells. After at least 36 hours of the experiment, the pri soners were emotionally disturbed and were crying uncontrollably with rage. Thus, the initially two-week planned experiment was called off after just six days. On the other hand, guards forced prisoners to perform exercises. The guards sprayed prisoners with fire extinguishers, and stripped their prisoners naked. The security officers who were to maintain peace and protect their prisoners promoted aggression between inmates and forced prisoners to defecate in buckets instead of toilets. In addition, they forced prisoners to clean toilets with their bare hands. The researchers created a mock prison in the basement of Stanford University and randomly assigned people as prisoners or guards to note their reactions. Recommendations As a recommendation for the reduction of the prisoners’ torture at the bay we find that the US federal is urged to come up with laws that enable the treatment of criminals without harsh conditionality. Although, the offenders are entitled to particular constitutional laws, they have various rights in their lives including; the right to be tried by the jury, to be cross-examined and the right to an immediate trial. Since the society has developed a growing concern over the criminal behavior which is ever increasing, the justice system is urged to provide a delinquent preventive measure that will be aimed at preventing the members of the society from indulging in criminal activities. Due to growing concerns over the increased number of criminals, countries have formulated laws that ensure that the criminals especially those detained at the Guantanamo bay involved in criminal cases are restored back to being good people in the society and they have identified rehabilitation policies or program as the best way to nature them instead of putting them under torture like what is happening the Guantanamo bay. Rehabilitation is widely believed by many to be the principal reason of reducing crime. (Committee on Law and Justice, 2004) Rehabilitation normally involves the teaching and training the persons who are addicted to a particular behavior to stop the defective behavior and try to become acceptable members of the society. Therefore under this, the society is given the responsibility of assisting these addicts or criminals by helping them to get hope through various programs that they will be educated thus helping them to heal their bodies and mind. The strengths associated with rehabilitation policies are that the addict will achieve through these Programs education which allows the offender an opportunity to re-enter into the society as a responsible and productive citizen. For example, the people who undergo rehabilitation programs are normally allowed to receive counselling and guidance. For example a rehabilitation program may involve the offenders at the Guantanamo bay in doing community work, such as cleaning the environment and activities that they think suits to the foundation of their interests. This will make them appreciate who they are and accept their presence and roles in the particular society. (Kleinman, 2000) The strength for rehabilitating criminals is that there is always a collective supervision that will be able to provide an environment favourable enough to meet the special needs of the offenders which will help them to join the society newly as responsible and respected persons. However, rehabilitation is prone to some weaknesses which hinder the process of trying to help the offenders to be good and reliable people in the society. For example, the criminals or offenders subjected to rehabilitation programs at the Guantanamo bay feel isolated in the society and thus will not corporate during the entire process. They view themselves as rejected people in the society who are treated maliciously. These aspects make them to feel unworthy in the society and hence after the rehabilitation programs they don’t change but instead continue with bad behavior that they used to engage themselves in. Also another weakness is lack of government support in supporting rehabilitation programs, for example laxity in funding the programs thus few drug addicts and criminal offenders are subjected to such programs. This has resulted to seeking donors who can fund the programs, an activity which is difficult because it’s very hard to find willing donors. (Eysenck and Hans, 1996) Conclusion Torture in the Guantanamo bay prisons is a major problem for many in America and other nations, but the war on Iraq and Afghanistan and the whole issue of terrorism has been stressing the Americans because of the harsh policies imposed by the Bush administration on torture. In general we can therefore deduce that President Bush has not performed his responsibilities and the duties of the president in the maintaining the rights of the detainees in the required way. America is not better of since Bush took over power therefore the next president has a lot of work ahead in rebuilding and restructuring the country’s’ prison administration, for this reasons the federal is given an opportunity to amend and address the effects caused by the torture policy in Guantanamo bay. A Newborn Thrown in the Trash and Dies is a thought provoking, gut wrenching tale about an infant who is born to a teenage mother that lives in a housing project in New York and is thrown down the trash, down ten floors to thecompactor chute to its death. The story is narrated by the unnamed infant who is the subject of the story. She is the sympathetic character as she describes her projected lifehas horrible as her certain death. She doesn’t seem bitter about dying, she feels sympathy for the mother who put her in the trash and accepts her life as being â€Å"how it is,† as she doesn’t know any better. As she passes each floor she shares the peek that she is given, from learning that people talk out of both sides of their mouths, political power, her molestation, and even the death of her brother. The infant almost gives the reader the idea that her life will be just as tragic as her death and wouldn’t change anything. She would just be one of many stories published in the paper. She believes that a Russian on the other side of the world is going through the same thing, that even though they are from different countries they have poverty in common. This is true today, we hear horrible stories about things that happen to children and the people of the city have become numb to its affects. For example, children are abducted from the city all of the time and it is reported, right after the story the news anchors switches gears and gives the weather as if they were not affected by what they have just reported. It seems that it is as easy to them as reporting rain or a traffic jam, they seem unaffected which is conveys to the listening audience. Those of us who are affected will be for a short time, but not enough to where we will feel that we need to do something about it. Life will continue to go on as it always has and stories like these will continue to occur. The story makes me question what I have become numb to and what do I consider normal. When I watch the news I almost expect to see where someone is murdered in the city. What is wrong with me, us, society? The story describes that there have been nine babies discarded in 1990 and as of August of the following year seven discarded babies were discovered. How ironic is it that the name of her housing project where she is born and dies is called the Gerald J. Carey Gardens. A garden is a place where seeds are planted, nurtured and tended, the total opposite of what was happening to her.

Water in this case is the constant in this experiment for the being that it is the only unchanged solution. 5. Leaf disks were monitored for 15 minutes to see if they would float to the top of the solution. 6. 10 Trials were performed for each one of the solutions, giving a grand total of 20 experimental trials. The water solution was the one which produced floating leafs which contradicted our initial beliefs. The leaves in the bicarbonate solution did eventually float up, following the water. Perhaps not knowing how to correctly transfer the leaf disks into the solution provided a variable which allowed the disks to come into contact with oxygen in the atmosphere.

Many Sufi's try to help individuals in trouble. They use special powers, which enable them to help people who are suffering. Of course this power can only be given by God, and Sufi's in no way equal to God's power. In fact, Sufi's that claim to be at the same level of God cannot be classified as a Muslim. A Sufi must have a strong will and be able to control their inner soul (nafs). This also part of the reason why they isolate themselves, so they do not get tempted by any worldly desires. A Sufi's outside appearance should represent his inner soul. If a person does commits a sin then he/she must repent to God, and ask for forgiveness. If a Sufi sees a fault in someone else, then he should correct. All aspect of Sufism are considered Islamic, unless the basic principles of Islam are broken. These basic principles are found in the Qur'an and also in the hadith. Sufism deals with a whole other side of Islam, a part which deals with mystical powers and mysteries (some of which are not meant to be understood, that is only for God to know). To understand these powers and mysteries are very difficult and take a great deal of studying and self searching. But when one taps into these mystical powers, that person opens a door of unlimited knowledge.

Psychology is a human science and should thereby leave the study of biology to the biologists. Psychology, as defined by the APA is, ‘the study of the mind and behaviour’(APA, 2013), this definition states that psychology is indeed separate to that of biology as biology by definition is ‘the branch of science concerned with the structure, function, growth, evolution, and distribution of living and non-living organisms’ (biology online, 2013), this implies that the two are indeed two different disciplines which do not require interaction, as they are simply focusing on different things. A good example of the two disciplines being separate, is psychoanalysis. Psychoanalysis, a method of therapy developed by Freud and still used widely today, focuses on the subconscious and says that mental illness is caused by underlying traumas, repressed memories and unconscious desires. If these are brought to the surface, by the patient verbalising under hypnosis of these repressed, unconscious and underlying issues, it is thought that by uncovering them they will find answers. Psychoanalysis has no foundations in biology and even as it has been expanded upon by people such as Adler and Jung, still does not believe that biology is relevant to psychology (Kandel, 1999). The simple fact that they are, still to this day, separate disciplines again reinforces that they are separate spheres of study and should remain that way. AGAINST: Psychologists need an understanding of biology in order to treat patients, and understand concepts fully.  Psychology could not be practiced if it was not for the fundamental biology that sets human beings apart from any other species. An understanding of the brain, body and how they function and there interactions and co-existence with psychological concepts such as mood, personality, emotions are integral and in fact, psychology needs a biological foundation and understanding to even begin to interpret psychological concepts (Weiten, 1992). When taking a closer look at the definitions mentioned previously, they both study life. Since biology is the study of life psychology fits into this definition as psychologists too study life. In saying that, the study of life should not be left up to the biologists as they are typically concerned with the structure, function, growth, evolution and distribution of living and non-living organisms, whereas psychologists look deeper into the study of life, not just seeing it as a science but seeing it as an avenue to help and better people’s lives through understanding the fundamental biological workings of the brain. But without an understanding of the human brain and body and how it functions psychologists would not be able to put these two disciplines together to achieve their outcomes. It is crucial for a psychologist to understand the work of biology in order to be an effective psychologist. Without a biological basis, there would be no way that psychology would even be a pro-active discipline. In my free time the most I like to do is reading books. Because with reading, it doesn’t matter is it a short story or a novel in several volumes, you can know something new about life. I enjoy reading different books but the most I like detectives and fantastic stories. My favorite detective story is Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie featuring the Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. I first read it when I was 12 and it a little shocked me and left a great impression. The first I have always admired the talent of Agatha Christie, she is my favorite writer in detective genre, the mastery with which she described the story is incredible, the ending was completely unpredictable. And as always Hercule Poirot was simply inimitable. So what is story about? The Murder on the Orient Express. Mr. Ratchett was killed. Mr. Poirot accidentally discovers a note by means of which he learns that the murder of Ratchet directly connected with shocked all the world murder little Daisy Armstrong. Real name of Ratchett was Cassetti. Five years earlier, Cassetti kidnapped three-year-old Daisy Armstrong. Though the Armstrong family paid a large ransom, Cassetti murdered the little girl and fled the country with the money. Daisy’s mother, Sonia, was pregnant when she heard of Daisy’s death. The shock sent her into premature labour, and both she and the baby died. Her husband, Colonel Armstrong, shot himself out of grief. Cassetti’s guilt was proved. But despite this he could flee the country and escape further prosecution for the crime. Although the fact that all passengers have their alibis and witnesses proving innocence each of them Poirot because of its lively mind and experience reveals that crime. Hercule Poirot assembles all passengers and offers them 2 possible explanations of Ratchett’s murder. The first explanation is that a stranger – some gangster enemy of Ratchett – murdered Ratchett for reasons unknown, and escaped unnoticed. And the second – Ratchett was killed by all passengers because all of them were related to Armstrongs. He proposed to Bouc, the Head of the Orient Express, to choose the correct. Fully in sympathy with the Armstrong family, and feeling nothing but disgust for the victim, Bouc pronounces the first explanation is correct.
